Who am I?

Hi, I’m Rahul, a Certified Personal Trainer & Nutritionist. Not long ago while doing my MBA at Stanford, I went through my own transformation journey where I lost 30 Kg fat and gained 4 Kg muscle in just 1 year.

I realized two things.

First, how straightforward the journey was once I knew the scientific secrets (well, not so secret) of weight loss and muscle gain.

Two, I wanted to help others.

And so I acted. I completed my fitness certifications and codified my knowledge into the evidence-backed, 4-step G.E.A.R. framework that is now helping hundreds of people globally crush their fitness goals. And I‘d love to help you too.

The 4-Step G.E.A.R Methodology

1. Goal setting

During your G.E.A.R. fit baseline assessment with me, we will clarify and define specific, realistic goals for you. This is the most important step as everything will follow from this.

2. Exercise planning

We will then create workout plans to support your goals and that fit your lifestyle – whether gym workouts, at-home exercises, or something else entirely. You can access and track them on the app.

3. Aligned nutrition

Next, we will align your nutrition (set your calorie targets, protein intake, etc.) to support your goals and workouts. You will also get specific meal plans (if you prefer), which you can log in the app.

4. Review & revise

We will track key metrics weekly, such as weight, fat % and body inch measurements. On our weekly 1:1 call, we will discuss progress and make any necessary adjustments.

100%! I help people across different fitness levels, in fact, mostly beginners. I will create beginner-friendly workout plans that are tailored to your individual needs and comfort level. Whether it’s strength training workouts in gym, or running/cycling/cardio workouts, they will align with your current level and your personal fitness goals.

Totally. No matter what your lifestyle is going to be for the week, I’ll create workouts and nutrition plans accordingly. For example, if you are traveling for a week and have access to only the hotel gym, your workouts for that week will be adjusted. Don’t even have a hotel gym? No worries. I’ll create simple workouts you can do from your room. For your diet, we’ll mainly focus on macronutrient targets, so you can eat anything during travel but of course, logging into the app and trying to stay within your targets will help you.

The equipment needed will depend on your personalized workout plan. I will plan your workouts based on your access to a gym or home-based equipments. So if you have specific equipment limitations, don’t worry as I’ll tailor your workouts accordingly.

No, my approach to weight loss doesn’t involve any extreme or overly restrictive diets. I believe in a scientific method, where I set a moderate calorie deficit tailored to your individual goals. You have complete flexibility in what you eat, and as long as it fits within your total calorie requirements, you will lose weight. The FittUp app makes it easy to log your food intake, allowing you to enjoy a variety of foods while still achieving your weight loss goals.

Absolutely! This program is designed to be inclusive and flexible, accommodating any dietary preference, including vegetarian and vegan diets. I’ll work with you to ensure you meet your macronutrient and calorie targets, regardless of your dietary restrictions.

Great question. We will aim to measure 4 main things on a weekly basis based on your comfort-level and willingness.

  1. Weight
  2. Fat % (with a simple digital weighing scale; you can even go for the more accurate DEXA scans)
  3. Body inch measurements with an inch tape
  4. Visual progress with photos (optional)

Along with this, if you have other goals such as running a marathon or sport-specific goals, we will track those as well.
